Your invoice data

Everything you type into the invoice builder — client names, addresses, rates, totals, bank details, your logo — is processed entirely on your device, inside your browser. It is never uploaded, transmitted, stored or seen by us or anyone else. This is an architectural property of the site — it has no upload endpoint — and you can verify it yourself with your browser’s Network tab, or by building an invoice with your internet disconnected.

Drafts on your device

The builder saves your working draft (including your business details and invoice numbering) in your browser’s localStorage so it’s there when you come back. That storage is on your device, controlled by your browser; clearing site data removes it, and it never syncs anywhere. On a shared computer, use a private window if you don’t want a draft to persist.

What we do collect

Aggregate, cookieless page-view analytics (via Cloudflare Web Analytics), which tell us things like “the hourly-invoice page was viewed N times” — with no cookies, no fingerprinting, no cross-site tracking and no profile of you. Our hosting provider (Cloudflare) additionally processes standard technical request data — IP address, user agent — to serve and secure the site, as any web host does.

What we don’t do

Advertising

The site currently shows no ads. If we introduce ads in the future to cover costs, this policy will be updated first, any legally required consent mechanism will be added, and one thing will not change: ads run on the page, not in the tool — your invoice data stays on your device regardless.

Offline app

If you install InvoiceLocal as an app (or your browser caches it for offline use), the site’s files are stored on your device by your browser. That cache contains the tool itself; your drafts live separately in your browser’s storage. Neither reaches us.
